Work hours in transactional teams are very unpredictable. we have periods of working 40-hour weeks then periods of working 60-70 hours weeks. working is flexible and there is a 60/40 policy of 60% work in the office and 40% work from home.

Once you are off the legal services award, the firm is a lot more flexible with your hours and working arrangements. however, this does vary team to team some teams only work from home on certain days, others don't at all. in my team, we can work from home up to two days a week and these don't have to be set days you can pick and choose when you want to work from home whenever you want. the office provides you with a monitor you can use to work from home as well. my team typically starts later around 9 to 9.30; however, they are flexible. as long as you are available when work needs to be done, they don't mind if you start earlier or later or leave and go home and log back on.
