Overseas training is good because you can meet people from other offices globally and for my first overseas training, we got to work on a mini project with teammates from other offices (effectively a case crack). That was a fun and helpful experience. We had an informal modelling training when I was an intern that was very helpful. There are other training which are skills-related and some which are for new software like AI tools. I think these types of trainings could be improved to be more relevant for our day-to-day tasks on projects.
1 international training with the entire cohort (i.e. analyst, consulants, managers). Assigned a career advisor (typically partner) + have perofrmance and PD meetings for every project.
New consultant training overseas - learning about TMT industries, soft and hard skills (networking, interviewing, modelling and problem solving) More informal training scattered throughout the year (refreshers on specific topics or slidemaking etc) Main skills would be learnt on the job: - Learning how to conduct efficient research without “boiling the ocean” - Setting up analyses in a clear and logical manner - Crafting pages that deliver a clear message and “so-what”
