Pretty accessible, most are great and follow the Bain way of working with teams
Managers are generally accessible, but it depends on their workload and travel schedule - if they're staffed on intense projects or travelling constantly, getting time with them can be difficult. Most are genuinely invested in developing junior staff because your performance reflects on them, and good people management matters for their own progression. They approach mentoring variably - some are excellent at coaching through problems and giving real-time feedback, others are more hands-off or focused on just getting deliverables done. Performance feedback is candid, sometimes brutally so - managers will tell you immediately if your work isn't up to standard, which stings but helps you improve fast. Recognition tends to come through formal reviews and weekly case team meetings. Overall, the mentorship quality is high if you're proactive about seeking it, but don't expect hand-holding, especially as you get more senior. You need to manage up and ask for what you need.
