Very hands on with clients and working on their biggest strategic issues, day to day varies but usually client meetings and material / analysis prep
As an Associate Consultant, I'm the analytical engine on project teams - building financial models, analysing data, creating PowerPoint decks, and doing deep-dive research. Day-to-day involves pulling and cleaning data in Excel, running analyses to test hypotheses, building slides to communicate findings, and attending team and client meetings. I might spend the morning on competitor research, the afternoon building a market sizing model, and the evening refining slides for tomorrow's client presentation. The work is deadline-driven, constantly juggling multiple workstreams and iterating based on Partner feedback. You work independently on discrete analyses but collaborate closely with team members who review your work. The variety is real - but core skills stay the same: structured problem-solving, rigorous analysis, and clear communication under pressure.
