I am fifo, 8 days on and 6 days off so I am comfortable with the higher work hours. Employer is not flexible, we are not supposed to take partial swings of leave, you are expected to take a full swing, even if you only need a day or two, unless it's a "special circumstance". Remote work isn't really offered as long term offer, but I think this is reasonable given that the job is site based, so by that logic, the work should be done on site.
3 days WFH for people that work in the office. For people that work on site with flight restrictions it is difficult to change roster by a day here and there. Very difficult on a 5/2 4/3 roster if needed for work in Perth or personal appointments.
