pay is good - good benefits - leave, sick leave, flexibility in working from home etc
The Department of Education has amazing benefits and policies including flexible working arrangements, generous leave entitlements, and reasonable accommodations for sick leave/personal leave. They pay is satisfactory but is generally not competitive with the private sector or state government equivalents. I am happy with this as I view it as a trade-off for the benefits and work/life balance + the opportunity to work on federal policy is extremely valuable.
Fairly compensated.
