Just like any large law firm, you are likely going to be working some long hours. However, if you enjoy the work and the firm culture, it is certainly quite manageable. In my personal experience, the partners are also quite flexible in how you work as they are primarily focused on setting you up for success to get the best out of you.
Depending on the team, but there is usually a conversation about the expectations that is flexible. In person work is required for several teams as a large majority of the days.
We have a 2 day a week work from home policy, though many people come in 4-5 days a week. The expectation is that you are around and available between 8. 30/9Ish and 7pmish depending on the team.
Firm is flexible on remote work (2 days a week, ability to work from interstate offices), and is very good at accommodating sport training etc, but this comes at the cost of higher expectations around overall contributions when the team is busy
The firm is restricted by the requirements of the LSA, prior to Graduates becoming admitted. Flexibility and hour expectations vary between practice groups, but overall are relatively flexible and conscious of PLT demands.
