Flexible
Work hours are long (10+ hours monday to friday, with the odd saturday shift). This is expected in major infrastructure construction). Work life balance that I currently have works for me, however that my change dependent on circumstance. my managers have been flexible for when I require to work from home, attend work late, or work from interstate. These arrangements mainly have to be made for any medical appointments I need to attend.
Recently the organisation has moved from a 3 day in office 2 day remote to a full time in office arrangement. This has greatly limited the flexibility of the working arrangement. There is some room for flexible breaks and ad hoc remote work in situations such as appointments.
Contracted for 40 hours but may have to work overtime when things are due. Other roles in the company have closer to 60 hours weeks, especially site-based roles. Flexible start and stop times, to a point. Working from home for adhoc reasons is manager dependent.
