I have been through lots of training, inductions and on the job training as well. And it's also possible to request more training.
The training program is extremely efficient and they make sure your out doing what's required as soon as possible in the safest way. There are still some processes that are being redefined, but that's how are company improves.
So far I haven't received any formal or informal training. However, more experienced workmates have taught me how to use the software and they have shared resources (books, papers, opinions) with me. Skills that I have picked up: - Seismic interpretation. - Programming skills. - Play mapping and exploration strategy.
The learning and development team put a lot of effort into the graduate program. They have organized sessions where senior leadership and past graduates have provided insights and advice to current graduates about their careers. The company has also provided study assistance for me to pursue post graduate qualifications related to my current role.
