It depends on the team you are in. Some teams are really flexible and understanding when it comes to inclusion because of a medical condition. Other teams are not flexible and you are required to be in the office. It took a while for my flexible arrangements to be put in place due to medical reasons.
It's great. I'm just required to work 7.5 hours a day, which can be done any time from 7am-7pm. I've been working 8:30 to 4:30 and really enjoy having my afternoons so free - my previous role paid far less but was 8:30-5:30, i can really feel the difference. I'm able to work from home when i want, but it's not very often as i prefer being in the office. I know others in my same position work from home a few days each week. We also have the flex system, so any time worked over 7.5 hours you can get back another day.
My work hours remain the same everyday and my employer is very flexible. I can work from home a few times a week as well as take leave/use flex. In my experience, i do not need to give a lot of notice if i want to use flex and they encourage i take time for myself if needed.
Full-time 37.5 hours with flexibility for example, able to work -1 hr less in one day and make up +1 hr at later dates. Wfh, 1-2 days in the office per week.
As i am a graduate, and a front-of-house social worker, i do not have remote work options in this role. However, there is flexibility with use of flextime for an appointment etc.
