Due to the Sydney office not having many resources or offshore support teams, junior consultants are often assigned time-consuming tasks like data collection and data cleaning. Outside of this, junior consultants are also tasked with completing small pieces of analysis like benchmarking competitor prices, designing surveys, creating slides, financial modelling, and data analysis using SQL.
Policy work involves a lot of briefing, research and providing advice to the foreign minister. There are a lot of travel opportunities - the department works to a wide variety of issues.
