Most of the training is on the job. The firm has cut back on training spend in recent years. The formal onboarding is done online across 3-4 days. They teach you the basics of "what is consulting" and touch on some tools like Excel and PowerPoint. We have monthly training days where a senior member will pick a topic and teach it to the rest of the firm. This has been quite useful despite there not being a formal curriculum. Every consultant is assigned a career coach whom you can talk to fortnightly/monthly to chat about performance and your goals with the firm.
There are many opportunities for training including various courses at the Diplomatic Academy, with ANU and other relevant agencies. There are also language training opportunities available.
