In my role half the time is spent driving to and from work sites and the other half is conducted in office, If you want to work less its easy and all you need to do is ask.
We have longer working hours as we have to accommodate those on site and their respective offices. With enough notice and good reason, there is flexibility as to late starts/ early leaving. On Fridays we do a shorter workday and are typically encouraged to leave early. There is also an expectation that we can be contacted on Saturdays, but I rarely carry my work phone during the weekends and haven't had any issues (as you become more senior it would be more likely you need to have it on you.
Typically working hours for office staff is 8am to 5pm, many staff do look to get into the office between 7-7:30 in line with the site teams starting hours. Hours are quite flexible, if you need to go to an appointment and finish early one afternoon or take a pet to the vet there is no issue or impact as long as you give your manager a heads up.
Work hours are 7:30am to 5pm, although the contract says 40 hrs per week. Very reasonable with having to leave early or start late occasionally, also with taking leave for holidays.
Generally, I will work from 7:30 to 5:00pm. Depending on the day, sometimes these hours will extend either side. If I have university, Winslow are very flexible so I am able to leave early or change the days that I work to accommodate exams and assessments.
