I really enjoy the tasks I have been given. There are multiple of them that all cover different skillsets which is something I really enjoy. My managers provide various tasks that keep me engaged and learning on the job. It is nice to know that my input is valued and they care about my opinions and ideas even though I have only just entered the work force.
In my electrical engineering role, I was completing design projects for business customers and leading the projects for these (from a RAN perspective), designing new towers and upgrades within the Waikato region, completing GIS analysis of 5G within rural towns, completing competitor analysis of other telcos networks and presenting this to leadership teams etc. In sustainability, I am completing carbon emission reporting, leading our annual GRESB submission and supporting different initiatives.
Sometimes I feel what I'm doing is really important, sometimes not. But overall I can see how everything I'm doing links into the bigger picture which I really enjoy.
