You are encouraged to do professional development opportunities outside of work/inside. You are also assigned a coach as early talent and can request to have one throughout your working life. You have monthly check ins where you are provided with guidance and direction (you can discuss issues inside and outside of work with confidence). There are opportunities to do first-aid courses or coaching courses. These employers want to see you succeed.
We have our organisational development programmes which allow us to reflect on what we have learnt and what we would like to learn. From this, we can converse with our coaches/mentors with things that we would like to progress with or learn. You have to be pro-active about the things that you want to learn, it is a two way street!
We have a lot of graduate development opportunities on how to communicate effectively, collaboration, listening skills and presentation abilities. In my formal role, my people leader is always putting me on new projects to learn and lead. I would like a bit more formal training in my technical role as there is so much to learn!
