I am a project manager in the public transport, facilities and structures team. My day-to-day task consists of talking to contractors via emails or phonecalls, going to visit sites, documents, and meetings.
Your day to day varies a lot especially as a graduate. In general, depending on which team you are working in and how you manage your workload, it could be nice or fully booked. My role includes managing deadlines and preparing documentations for investigation and design works for infrastructures. My day usually includes writing documents, preparing PPT for presenting to a working group, calling up or emailing internal SMEs or other teams for support or more information.
Day-to-day varies. Some days you will have plenty of work to do but others you may not have much to do at all. When you do get work it is engaging and meaningful.
