Not a lot of training provided, kind of learn on the job or in your own time, would be nice to have some more tailored training for different disciplines

2x performance reviews a year for employees, and is typically employee led for the timings etc Training within disciplines is offered often, with weekly lessons learnt etc, and company wide lessons learnt and bizhub opportunities are offered usually bimonthly.

I think the work I am doing at BCD provides a strong introduction to the industry and has helped me develop a solid understanding of the fundamentals of structural design. Typically, I am given a brief outlining the required deliverables along with key considerations, and then I am expected to complete the task while asking questions along the way as needed. While this has been a valuable learning process, I believe that more structured and specific training would further support my development. In particular, having regular sessions would be an effective way to build my technical knowledge beyond what I gain through project work. I would really appreciate a weekly one-hour training session to help upskill and become more valuable in contributing to projects as a structural engineer at BCD.

Graduate program is well organized with a buddy overlooking your growth, but also the entire team is always able to support your learning. Have picked up professional communication skills, technical structural engineering skills, and processes used during high level projects.

This is more "on the job" and self driven with encouragement from people around you. You have to be proactive in your own development, and the company will reflect this if you show its what you want to do.
