The vibe at Contact is genuinely friendly and supportive, people are always willing to lend a hand. One of my favourite initiatives is our monthly coffee roulette, where we're paired with colleagues from different parts of the business. It's a relaxed, fun way to connect with people we might not normally cross paths with and learn more about their roles. The structure here feels pretty flat, senior leaders are approachable, and it's common to collaborate or engage in 'watercooler chat' with them around the office.
Hierarchy is mostly linear - as a graduate you are still allowed to talk to managers without having to be too formal so long as you are polite and respectful of their time. Workplace culture is fast-paced in the project team during office hours and some people work after hours due to the nature of the project. Cooperation and teamwork are good within my team and socialising is made easy by having most of us in the same office space. People who work outside of town also come to the office every other week or every couple weeks so there is opportunity to meet with them in-person.
Due to the level of remote work and dispersed teams we don't have a particularly strong workplace culture outside of our generation sites in Clyde and Taupo. It's great when my team comes together, but this happens infrequently.
Can meet many cool persons and they are very friendly and helpful when you ask them questions
