Contact Energy (Contact) is one of Aotearoa New Zealand's largest renewable electricity generators and retailers.
We are allowed to work from home any time we needed, and hours are also quite flexible. I know some of my colleagues are working from 5am to 2pm, so as long as the job is done, we are allowed to make such arrangements.
My employer is very flexible about working from home, this is a very viable option for me and it is convenient and easy to let my team know and it does not impact my role negatively. Time in lieu for being involved in an event on the weekend is well followed and I am never asked to work late or overtime.
They are very flexible and trusting as it is basically an honour system. You can leave whenever if you have appointments, etc. You can leave early if you feel tired and have done a lot for the day. Your hours can move around within the day too. Working from home is also encouraged if that suits you more.
Work is hybrid we have work remotely if we want to. Flexible hours are different for each team, but typically meetings run between 9-4, meaning you need to be available then. If you need to step out for appointments etc., that's also fine are meetings are often recorded.
Very flexible. You are expected to work 40 hours, however there are no specific start and finish times, making it easy to work around appointments, travel, etc. Remote work is available, however I prefer coming into the office.
