Datacom is a very engaging company; the culture is inclusive and broad. From providing applications for wellbeing, supporting community, promoting work life balance, and also the local office' drive for more social engagement, I feel datacom has a focus on maintaining the wellbeing and general happiness of its staff. As an example, our office has a social engagement evening every Friday after work, it could be ten pin bowling, board games, beer tasting, or a number of other fun activities organized by the team. This week's social engagement activity is to help a staff member who has been away with injuries sustained from a car accident, to move house. It was nice to see everyone come together to help out, and all it took was a message in teams.
The culture of the company is great, inclusive and supportive, the best I have experienced!
There is good socializing with my direct team.
In the office, the culture seems to be a bit disjointed, there is a lack of cohesive values or shared goals that bring the teams together. Communication and collaboration among colleagues could be improved, as there isn't a strong sense of community or mutual support. This sometimes leads to feelings of isolation and decreased morale. I attended one after-hours event, which was enjoyable overall. However, I noticed that a few attendees became quite intoxicated, which made me feel uncomfortable. As a result, I decided to leave early to ensure my safety.
