They are easy to access and talk to. I feel that they make good mentors as they set a good example and support and encouragement.
They are great. Someone i can talk to and have a question about anything. Because they are GM's and Directors, they have the power to help you in array of areas. I meet with mine regularly and catch up with them on a professional and a personal level over a coffee. They are a good person to ask questions about tasks and ways of continuously improving too.
Depends from manager to manager, but most are very friendly and happy to help you if you get stuck. Communication is normally done through teams and you can be pretty casual once you build a good relationship. You get assigned a Sponsor and Mentor so its up to you to develop these relationships to get regular meetings. But in my case my Sponsor seems to always have time for me.
DHL has a robust recognition program including employee of the month and other wards for different teams. There is also monthly 1 on 1's with your manager. Graduates get partnered with a manager as a mentor as well as a member of senior management.
