The culture at the firm is amazing. Among juniors, there is a good bond and plenty of social events. There are office sports teams (football and netball) which are a good opportunity to have some fun during the day and get moving with your team. Between juniors and seniors there is also a great culture. There is a great deal of positive partner interaction too, where partners will not just provide you with work directly, but also take the time to ask about how things are going as well as joke around and build a good rapport.
There is a heavy focus on maintaining a positive workplace culture across the office and the firm nationwide. In general, while there is a hierarchy, I would consider this a "flat" hierarchy, with partners and seniors readily available and with an open door policy. It is common for graduates and solicitors to work with partners directly. Social opportunities are generally in the individual teams, but there is an effort for regular office-wide social events (both formal and informal).
Work is delegated from partners to senior associates/associates, and then that gets dispersed across juniors. It doesn't feel hierarchical.
Office culture is professional and positive. The environment is very supportive and collaborative which has been a big help as I've gotten up to speed in my role. There is a hierarchy according to rank but everyone is very accessible. There are plenty of amusing office chats that take place but people usually are working quietly; I quite like the balance. There is less socialising outside of work than I was perhaps expecting, but I'm equally happy to go home and rest.
The office culture is great - super friendly and everyone is always smiling and helpful. people are always willing to give you some time
