Our workforce in general I think is alot more diverse than some of my friends workplaces in other big law firms. We have a variety of people from all across the world, a lot of south africans, chinese, korean, UK, german, indians, and kiwis. Incorporating tikanga Māori in our everyday practice is something I also saw a good push in especially from partners which is very cool to see.
Like many law firms, there are now far more women at junior level than men, however there are still less woman at senior associate and above level. The Wellington office also doesn't seem (visually) to be very racially diverse, I don't know of any Maori or Pacifica people here.
I think the firm does have a strong commitment to diversity - there is a very good balance of men and women across all levels (including partnership) and a commitment to pay equity and opportunities for everyone. There are also accommodations made for those with health struggles and/or disabilities.
