Yes, the managers are good with internal feedback, we had end of rotation reviews which is a good opportunity to learn what we need to be working on. But I find people are also really good at giving feedback in real time if they do have feedback.
Partners are generally accessible, although by nature they are busy so it can be difficult to make times to talk to them. However, when you get time with them, all the partners here have been really good mentors, taking time to explain why they want to go with a particular option or to tell you how your work will be used.
The managers are approachable and are willing to answer questions, which is great. Sometimes if they are more busy you don't get as much feedback on work I've handed in, but I think if I was more proactive and followed up, they'd be willing to give it.
There is some variation in the level of feedback and engagement between the partners and senior authors - some are more proactive at discussing what you've done well on and can improve than others so it really depends. Overall, all the seniors are great mentors in their own unique way, and you can learn a lot from them. If you ask for feedback as well, they will take the time to discuss things with you.
