My interviews were all in one day. The first interview was with two partners from the commercial and private client team and the second was with two Special Counsels from the litigation team. There were no other assessments (i.e. psychometric testing)
The application and interview process was robust, but not uncomfortable.
The interview process was warm and welcoming. Any nerves I had went away!
My recruitment process was a little atypical as I was initially declined an interview and only later offered one when another spot in the team came up. I think that the process used was quite standard, involving a CV and cover letter and one round of interviewing. I know that some firms require you to submit video of yourself or complete psychometric tests so it was nice not to have to deal with any of that.
The interview process was simple, effective and straightforward. The first interview was nice and enjoyable - where I felt comfortable asking questions and received good well thought out answers too. The second interview was a nice atmosphere in the boardroom where I once again felt even more comfortable in the presence of two partners. Both interviews were laid back and didn't feel intimidating at all. After my second interview there was a shared morning tea with all the candidates and the partners where some of the new graduates in their first year came along as well, which was nice as we got to chat with a mix of people at various levels.
