I had a positive and easy experience and felt very much like an individual rather than just a number.
After being selected for the first round of interviews, I completed a series of recorded video responses to preset questions. In the second round, I joined a teams video interview with several key staff members. The interview itself was structured but still felt relaxed and like a conversation with people interested in hearing about me. The whole process moved quickly, but I was kept up to date throughout via phone calls - which was a nice personal touch.
I had to do an initial assessment (online test) which involved some games, then I had an interview with 4 of the people in management at the Wellington office. I know this has changed since then though and there's a few more steps involved.
I was initially invited to interview for the wrong role (intern rather than graduate). Luckily, this was corrected after I reached out to Eagle directly. The initial " Interview" Is a one-way video interview, where you must record yourself answering prompts within a timeframe. I find these interviews awkward and difficult in general, as I interview best when there are real people present to bounce off of. The next interview is more traditional. These are always held over Microsoft Teams, even if you are based in Wellington to be fair to all applicants. The interviewers were friendly and made me feel comfortable.
After submitting your application if chosen to proceed there was an online video interview, this consisted of three question prompts that you had to film and submit your response too. From there the actual face to face interview with the hiring team at Eagle Technology was done. Finally the job offer came through.
