As a Category Assistant the tasks are very administrative based, so it does feel a bit repetitive at times. However, in saying that I think it is a good first full-time role to have when you are just entering the workforce as it allows you to understand how everything works without having any heavy responsibilities. Day-to-day tasks would be answering any store enquires, assisting your category manager with anything they need, creating NPDS, answering supplier enquires, communicating with relevant stakeholders in the business, mailing proofing, handling promos. The duties and tasks that a CA does is very tedious so it can get a bit stressful at times especially when you are new and still learning everything, but once you understand and get the hang of everything it is fine.

I also assist with campaign tracking and performance analysis, helping to optimise future media strategies. The role requires strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to juggle multiple projects efficiently
