I've been able to work on my Excel skills massively after starting here. The training here is alright, in my experience it is done by your team member, but I feel like there could've have been more resources to help me understand what was going on when I first started as I felt confused a lot of the time. We are encouraged to work on ourselves not just professionally but outside of work too. There are mid-year review and EOY review with your mangers as well as 1 on 1 sessions with them.
The first few weeks we were told to read the training docs and watch the training videos, once we gained a basic understanding of the material we shadowed someone and started learning the tasks. The cool thing about training in foodies is everyone is genuinely invested in helping you succeed, no question is inconvenient or dumb, everything is valid and a learning opportunity which helps boost the desire to learn more. Very cool approach to teaching and learning.
The skills I have picked up are the use of SAP and excel, I do think my initial training was a bit spotty but my manager has gone above and beyond to do extra training. We also have great feedback sessions.
In my role, training and development are encouraged. While formal training programmes may vary, I’ve had opportunities to build skills through hands-on experience, team collaboration, and feedback from my manager. I’ve picked up valuable skills in media planning, campaign coordination, and using digital tools for reporting and analysis. Performance feedback is constructive and helps guide growth, and there’s openness to coaching and mentoring, especially when you express interest in progressing. Overall, the environment supports learning and development, particularly if you’re proactive
