My manager has the time of day to talk to me, answer questions and explain topics. They ensure I am kept busy, have the resources to succeed, and listen to what I have to say. I highly value my manager.
Managers certainly take the time to explain stuff and help you work through it. The middle managers are great and happy to take the time and explain stuff from scratch to build your knowledge. I think the senior management struggles to deliver positive feedback regularly and we are given the negatives and work ons a lot.
My manager is accessible and supportive in my growth as a Graduate Project Manager. We have weekly catchups to discuss projects and my personal workload.
My current manager is by far the best I've had in my time since graduating from uni. They're always open to talk whether in person, on the phone, or on Teams. They often give great advice and our bi-weekly catch-up is always valuable for my development. My only gripe is the separation in terms of work/projects - I do nothing even closely related to them or their projects so the majority of my performance review will come from others whom I have been doing project work with.
Very accesible, I sit beside my manager and have multiple projects with them. Easy to get a hold of for questions and will help with issues. Regular feedback on what is needed to take the next step in development etc.
