Company pushes training quite heavily, which is good, but can get exhausting
I think naming off certain learnings is difficult, but I have certainly a lot as tasks I used to do months ago are now very easy and quick to do. The offer of training is positive and I think if you requested something it would be certainly considered. The 3x grad forums per year are a huge positive.
The Trainings at the Graduate Forums have been pretty engaging, and the Inductions were good at the start of the year. Mostly, I've learnt on the Job and through advice from my manager and colleagues. I'm planning to attend the NZS:3910 Contract training coming up, which is offered to staff too.
The graduate forums are a great way to learn and grow as a project manager, as well as become closer with my fellow graduates. There seems to be little flexibility for self-led training/courses/qualifications that have a cost, as the training budget is tied up in the graduate programme. It would be nice to have some individual freedom to pursue some project management related training or development opportunities.
Regular feedback is received, and I can generally have a catchup with my supervisor whenever for feedback or other help I need. Graduates are quickly presented in client facing roles which can be slightly daunting at first, but it provide valuable experience dealing face to face with other members of project teams, this has generally been one of the best things for myself in boosting confidence when talking with them, as they are people you know and have met as opposed to just a name.
