Intern Civil Engineer. Quality control, orders, inductions
I generally enjoy the work that I am given. It is challenging and stimulating, I enjoy been given tasks that involve responsibility and organisation. I enjoy being able to have time in the field as well as taking on administrative duties.
Site engineer responsibilities. Assisting PM and PEs with the day to day operations, ensure work is completed in compliance with specs, PCP, WI. Ensure site crews and subbies have work programmed daily, weekly. Monitored productivity, do cost control, subbie claims etc.
I am a graduate engineer and my role is sort of site engineer. Go on site and make sure everything is going according to the plan, help senior engineers, make site daily notes. interact with designers and solve issues.
Recently worked for P2D 1B1, covering Retaining Wall assisting senior QS's. During the project I was doing measures based on the drawings into an SOQ sheet, informed Subcontractors that a package has been sent for pricing, worked on adjudicating prices provided by subcontractor.
