I haven't been on any training yet. However would like more on the job training for certain tasks.
We get to go to our seminars which are very interesting and its great to meet the other grads from different regions. The on the job training is different per department. The best training I have received is one on one. Having a structured syllabus for the graduate programme so that we know what we will learn on each rotation would be very useful. this way we could track out learning and FH would be able to see results of the recourses they are putting into us.
We have 4 graduate summits where we learn about FH cultures, programming and project management, last planner, estimating and etc. We are assigned mentors and do monthly catch-ups. FH also provide monthly learning delivery plan (compliance and technical skills, frontline leaders modules etc)
Don't think we have the best development program, nothing is clear and well instructed. Needs so much improvement and plan.
Since starting at Fulton Hogan, I was introduced to CCS Candy where I was quite used to using Microsoft Excel, having great leaders around the workspace where who I could lean to for guidance and where they are happy to lend a hand when needed.
