
Communication is easily accessible
The managers are highly supportive and care deeply about the wellbeing of their team's members. They trust fully to you in carrying out your work to the highest standard and provide the necessary guidance and mentorship to achieve this. There is a weekly one-on-one session between all employees and their respective managers which is an opportunity to exchange feedback, discuss personal concerns, set goals, and otherwise have a pleasant chat about other matters outside of work. There is also a yearly 360-feedback programme where each employee gets written feedback from several of their closest team members.
Being based in Waikato and during COVID times I had little to do with the senior management of the company. Within the guidance team, I had a great relationship with my managers. I was in an unusual position of living with my manager however this was done very professionally with him always awnsering my work questions.
Very accessible and reply quickly to messages. Managers were very relaxed and approachable and provided praise and recognition.
My manager sets up 1-on-1s with me every 2 weeks to discuss my progress, share and receive feedback, and just have general check-ins. I find this is very helpful because this allows us to assess and change our way of doing something if its not working.
