Holland Beckett is a leading full service law firm based in the Bay of Plenty, with offices in Tauranga, Rotorua, Whakatāne and Taupō.
Overall, the culture is very positive. People enjoy spending time together both in and outside of work, and there’s a good connection between staff and the partnership. There are lots of employee-run initiatives and social activities, which makes the office a fun and supportive place to be.
There is a great workplace culture at Holland Beckett. Everyone is welcoming, approachable, and always willing to help each other out. As a new graduate, I found it easy to ask questions and learn from more experienced staff. The firm also organises a wide range of social events throughout the year, which provide opportunities to build relationships with colleagues outside of your immediate team. These events often bring together staff from different offices, making it easy to get to know people across the firm. There is also a mentor and mentee programme for graduates, where each graduate is paired with a mentor from a different practice area. This provides an additional source of support and guidance, giving graduates someone they can go to for advice, ask questions, discuss career development, or raise any concerns they may have.
Good team culture, people are friendly and hard working.
Very social, there are a lot of young staff who will have a drink together at the end of the week. Lots of team building events and activities to get amongst.
Everyone is very approachable and friendly. Partners are very approachable. Lots of social events. Very collaborative across teams.
