
My managers are incredibly accessible, and I am able to reach them at all times when need be. Every Mainfreight office is open plan, and no single person has their own office. This means there is no hierarchy, and you never have to knock on someone's door to speak to them. Messages down the chain get relayed extremely well by management and communication is very open and transparent. I have regular one on one sit downs with my manager which provide an open and honest space for feedback, discussion, praise, and recognition. I also always feel comfortable to raise anything that might be bothering me or something that I may need extra assistance on.
Each branch has their own manager who are approachable any time of the day either in person or over the phone/via email. These members have a broad range of knowledge and experience and certainly make fantastic mentors. Our branch managers recognize hard work and reward the team for targets reached. Our yearly performance appraisals are approached in a welcoming fashion and provide the opportunity for feedback and expectations to be shared.
The managers I work alongside with are extremely insightful and know a lot about the company. They often take a hands-on approach to explain how things work which I find useful. They give positive feedback on good results and know how to motivate collogues.
