My role and day to day tasks mean every day is different for me. There is the perfect balance of routine, as I have some tasks that frequent daily, weekly, and monthly. However, majority of my role depends on the day. As I work in sales, I face many different enquiries from customers that keep my job interesting. I am constantly learning and feel challenged, which is rare to find in many jobs these days. I feel like my work is meaningful and I am given lots of freedom to make decisions that I believe are for the best of the company. This level of responsibility gives me plenty of independence and also ensures that I can back myself to make the correct calls.
In my current role of Customer Service, everyday is different. From challenges customers are facing or arranging special services for urgent freight, my role is to ensure any query or request is satisfied through our email inbox or phone calls. I complete the daily stock take of all freight in our depot. This is done to help manage not only what is in our depot but to also keep track of freight movement through our organisation. Working closely with our operations team enables us to ensure freight is moved safely and in a timely manner. We are a very bottom up business which allows us to approach and solve problems as soon as they arise.
My current role is in the import operations of CaroTrans CFS as customer support. My day to day would consist of: Setting up FCL and FAK container orders Releasing freight to drivers/carriers on collection Assessing and assisting with MPI and NZ customs rules/regulations Helping out in the depot with store persons I am consistently being challenged with new tasks to motivate me and help the company which i am enjoying.
Health and Safety focused - love what I do
I am an Account Manager, my responsibilities are to best service the company's products on behalf of them in a warehousing environment. My day to day includes phone calls to maintain that relationship, e-mails, undertaking investigations and querying certain tasks.
