The Mott Macdonald geotechnical team is still able to make many sustainability decisions, such as maximise cut material for filling through adjustment of cut and fill ratio. reinforced slope to reduce volume of fill and its associated transport and processing energy consumption. Or the use of sustainable / natural material such as vegetation rather than synthetic alternatives.
