I work 9 hours every day, from 8:30-5:30 PM. It was only recently that my employer implemented work from home/remote set up. For over a year, it was pure onsite so I am really happy that we finally have a remote set up. I have 2 days remote and 3 days onsite. Ideally I'd like the opposite but I am content.
In my team we are allowed to work in or out of office as much as we want, granted we do our contractually agreed hours, we can start earlier and finish earlier as long as the 8 hours are made, take a break between hours for appointments and jump back, or if we do a longer shift to get work done (say a 10 hour work day), we can clock off a bit earlier the next day (Work 6 hours instead of 8) so it can be very flexible. The opposite can also happen if one has a serious appointment to do and must leave earlier, as long as the time missed is compensated later one it is fine. This is all only agreed within my team given how we can easily work remotely and not be solely dependant on face to face interactions.
Very flexible for WFH, takig time off for appointments, working from other offices in NZ
My work hours are reasonably standard, being 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. Mott Macdonald does offer more flexibility that can be mutually agreed upon with your line manager. My current line manager is leaving in 2 weeks, so I haven't yet exercise much of the flexibility arrangement, but the offer is there, and it is easily observed that many employees does exercise them.
Yes it is flexible however preferred to go into work
