I will complete a range of tasks from Excel modelling, meeting with the client, preparing slides for working groups, performing research tasks and collaborating with the team. It varies hugely but grads do get genuine exposure to meaningful tasks and important stakeholders.
As a consultant, my day-to-day work varies depending on the project and client. Typical responsibilities include analysing data, conducting research, building financial and operational models, developing PowerPoint presentations, facilitating client workshops and meetings, and supporting the development of recommendations for senior client stakeholders. The work is fast-paced and varied, with opportunities to contribute meaningfully from an early stage. No two projects are exactly the same, which keeps the role interesting and provides exposure to a wide range of industries, business challenges and senior executives.
