Oliver Wyman is a global leader in management consulting, with offices in 70 cities across 30 countries.
They have a rigorous recruitment process, including three case studies, behavioral assessments, a networking night and final presentation. The process is difficult but genuinely exposes every applicant's strengths and weaknesses well.
The interview process was broadly in line with other management consulting firms, involving a series of case studies and fit-style interviews. I enjoyed the process and found it to be a valuable opportunity to meet a range of people across the local office, including partners, principals and engagement managers. There was also a session before the final-round interviews where candidates could meet other employees and learn more about the firm and office culture. This made the process feel more personal and gave me a better sense of the people I would potentially be working with.
Everyone was supportive, but it is complex and multi-round
