They really invest in training their grads. We started with two full weeks of training, including a trip to Singapore for training with grads across APR. Most of the learning is done on the job, and I feel like managers are supportive and patient of Grads as they get up the learning curve.

Oliver Wyman places a strong emphasis on training and professional development, particularly in the early stages of your career. When I joined, all new consultants from the the Asia Pacific offices attended a week-long training programme in Singapore. The programme covered core consulting skills such as structured problem solving, financial and quantitative analysis, communication, storylining and presentation skills, while also providing a great opportunity to build relationships across the region. Learning continues well beyond the initial training. There are regular formal training sessions, access to online learning resources and significant on-the-job coaching from engagement managers, principals and partners. Performance feedback is provided after each project, making it easy to understand what you're doing well and where you can continue to improve. Through this combination of formal training and project experience, I've developed stronger analytical thinking, structured problem solving, client communication, presentation skills and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced team environments.
