The environment was always super friendly between my coworkers. Everyone seemed to be happy to help you with anything you need assistance with, I would always sit with my coworkers for lunch were conversations were lively, there was a Friday drinks that allowed to opportunity to talk to pretty much anyone even chief executive and other high ranking employees. I was very comfortable around my boss and felt that they and everyone on the team wanted to help my succeed as much as possible. I was also introduced to my bosses boss and made familiar with who I should talk to with any concerns I may have.
There is a good culture of cooperation and friendliness, and colleagues who work higher up are definitely approachable. Being a medium-sized company it can be quite difficult to meet new people outside your immediate team without inputting a good amount of effort, although the Friday social drinks help with this. There is good respect for work life balance.
Cultures are well celebrated and a lot teams make a big effort on socialising with each other through lunches, table tennis leagues, morning teas, etc.
They've managed to collate a variety of incredibly passionate people in their field. I was able to geek out about new technologies during lunch hours and the environment was very collaborative and easy to call out to people for help. As prior-mentioned, the drinks on fridays was a great opportunity to get to know people in the office and chat.
