Work for a company that is innovating and making a difference to the health and wellbeing of people, revolutionising global health systems.
Aren't any programmes in particular, but you pick up on many skills by getting your hands on any pieces of work
Throughout my time I have learned quite a significant amount of experience in AWS, practical Git practices and use with legacy java tools such as eclipse.
As an intern/grad you'll be paired with a 'buddy' to ask plenty of questions to, this system works well although it's best when both parties are consistently at the office. I gained skills through working on actual business problems rather than formal training, code review in particular is taken seriously and a good opportunity for growth. Knowledge-sharing workshops happen semi-regularly and are a way to keep up with what other teams are doing. AI use is quite encouraged across the business and has minimal barriers, so as an intern/grad you will get plenty of experience using it - how much this affects your learning is use-dependent, there aren't strict protocols or anything guiding this. Personally, the most valuable skills I gained experience with were version control, code review, frontend/React/JS development, technical writing, and working in an Agile environment.
A lot of training is throwing you in the deep end and figuring everything out which I find to be very useful. For specific tools, essential training is provided well. Learning modules like LinkedIn Learning is also provided. Frequent 1 on 1's with team leads allow you to get feedback.
The internship period was well structured with many tasks across the extent of it to help with professional development.
