Overall, training has been quite good, at least when it comes to the general systems and processes within the company, but rotation managers personalities vary significantly, and not all of them seem keen into training or supporting. However, because of the structure of the company, it is easy to find support in different instances. There is also an early careers development program which helps you acquire leadership skills that will be useful for any role in the future, and I think it is very helpful they focus training not only on the technical side, but also on personal development.
Was trained for certification of electrical risks and entry into electrically hazardous areas such as substations. Also trained for the usage of different application which PowerCo uses internally which is also applicable in other EDBs
Helpful staff to teach you.
It's good for the most part but would be nice to get us to do some specific training in areas we want to grow ourselves in or based on the roles we want
During the grad program there is regular meetings for presentation practice and improvement. Feedback is received after these sessions which is very good to know what needs to be worked on. The training for the systems that are used on the job could use some work as it is done by a process of just learning on the job and no formal training is received.
