The business has shown a very strong commitment to reducing environmental impact. Not only from a manager level, but also from a front-line perspective. As graduates we have the opportunity to work on an innovation project and try to think of new and innovative ways to operate sustainably. This is a great opportunity for us graduates to learn the way the business operates, what areas we can improve on as a whole and how we can achieve our sustainability goals with a fresh perspective.

Out of all the R&D that happens in mining my employer invests the most amount of capital. Lots of this capital goes towards better environmental approaches to mining, I think this speaks volume. However due to the nature of the work it will never fully reduce its environmental impact.
