I have been an Undergraduate Engineer for 2 years from September 2022 up until September 2024. I have since worked full time as a casual Graduate Engineer up until the 1st of July 2026 where I was made a full-time Graduate Engineer. I am almost 4 years into my career as an engineer and still finding it difficult to promote into an engineer role with SMEC. I believe I am no longer performing as a graduate and have the capabilities and experience/experiences to be promoted into an Engineer Role. I believe SMEC has done a great job particularly with providing me with opportunities to grow with my experience, skillset and development as an Engineer, however they have not been supportive of promotions and have been quite dismissive
Promotions follow similar timelines to other companies as a graduate
