I have had mixed results with the training programmes offered by Suncorp New Zealand. On one hand, there is plenty of funding and external resources made available if you know where to look and how to get approval for them. Additionally, your managers are very helpful when querying what is available. Where this falls apart is where internal training is available. We have some basic meetings that we attend at the beginning of our programme which involved learning the basics of the business, but the onboarding process for each individual role and team has been lacking in up-to-date information and available help.
There are so many opportunities for training at Suncorp. I had a private lecture series with our principal data engineer in my first rotation
