It's difficult to fault my mentor for this score, but as an intern without a guaranteed future beyond the internship, my list of "tasks" is relatively small because why would i be shown how to do a task if i won't be here to do it in 2 months. I often have to ask for more work to do, which can be awkward because i know everyone is busy (including my mentor). I'm not sure other interns, but i think we would all benefit if there was a roadmap provided to our mentors, so they know how to keep you occupied and learning throughout the internships.
I am a buying's intern. My major role is the research that i do for twg own line poppi. It consists of revamping the entire range and i have been given the task and responsibility of either adding, changing, or dropping products within the range. The role consists of a lot of primary and secondary research. My second role would be to assist with the actions that are needed on the necessary programs so things such as admin tasks. And thirdly my tasks is to assist my mentor in making knowledgably decisions for the company.
