Flexibility is another great plus here. When I first started, we had two days of working from home available each week, and we were able to choose which days worked best for us. While this has since changed to four days in the office, with Friday as an optional work-from-home day, I still really value the flexibility within my own team. My team has been very understanding when it comes to flexibility around working hours. I personally like to start extremely early when the office is quiet, get a head start on my workload, and then leave a little earlier when I can. My team has been very supportive of this, which I have really appreciated, particularly while balancing full-time work with university.
TWG is quite flexible with working hours. We recently moved from mandatory 3 days in the office to 4, which has been a change. However, core office hours have been limited to 9am-3pm, and Friday left as a WFH day. There is still flexibility around these hours based on family commitments, illness, etc. and management is often very reasonable. There is definitely a honour system where employees are trusted to make up the hours if they leave early or have other commitments.
We have remote work once a week which I really enjoy as it saves me travel time. I would like work hours to be 10am-6pm to avoid peak traffic times.
At the time we were also allowed 2 days working from home and the office is well kept and pleasant to be at.
My situation has been very relaxed. I'm not someone who personally tries to work less than required, i do the 40hrs if that's what is expected. I can easily work longer one day and shorter on other days. At this stage i have only worked from home for a full-day once because i still do not know enough to warrant working at home more, however as i learn more and take on more i intend to work from home 1-2 days a week. My mentor has already approved that should i make that decision on my own.
