I didn't feel in any way marginalised during the recruitment process or while working for Toyota. I work with people from all walks of life and I think it is what makes our team so special. At our dealership, it doesn't matter who you are - so long as you work hard and are kind.
I think as a whole ACT are committed to this, however due to the workplace in the dealership being fairly male-dominated I feel there is room for improvement when it comes to females and respect.
I don't know much about this as I do not work in HR for the company. As a woman in my company, I have never felt disrespected, not have I felt like I have missed out on opportunities because of my gender. I feel like I cannot comment on ethnic minorities or LGBT, as I am not part of their community, however from an outside perspective within the company I have never observed any issues in this area. I can also not comment on the child care or maternity leave process as I don't have kids.
